M.Sc. Thesis concluded: “FEASIBILITY AND STRUCTURAL STUDY OF AN AIRSTAIR SYSTEM FOR SHORT-MID RANGE AIRCRAFT”

After a 6 months internship at Superjet International (Venice), the student Marco Ciuffarin has concluded a M.Sc. thesis aimed at designing an integrated airstair system for the box-wing aircraft investigate in the project “PARSIFAL”.

  • Abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to study the feasibility of an airstair system stowed inside the fuselage of an aircraft, belonging to the short-mid range. A structural solution for a regional jet aircraft and for the PrandtlPlane, of the Parsifal project, is shown, together with preliminary and conceptual designs and FEM analysis results.
