Luca Crocetti is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Engineering (DII) of the University of Pisa.
His research interests include the design, development, and validation of hardware modules, embedded systems, and VLSI systems for cybersecurity applications in the fields of Automotive, space, low-power, Internet-of-Things (IoT), High-Performance Computing (HPC) e Suistanble Mobility, as well as for digital signal processing applications in the Space sector.
His teaching activities are mainly focused on concepts, methods, practices, and tools of electronics, including electronic laboratory equipment, SPICE simulation, assembly of discrete components analog and digital electronic circuits on breadboards, electronic semiconductor technologies such as transistors, memories, and programmable devices FPGA, the design flow of VLSI electronic circuits and FPGA devices, the design of electronic circuits using Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as Verilog and SystemVerilog, as well as concepts and principles of cybersecurity and hardware security. Moreover, in the academic year 2023/2024 Luca Crocetti will be the lecturer of a course entitled Principles of Cybersecurity and the Role of Hardware in Security for the Program of Ph.D. in Information Engineering of the University of Pisa.
Luca Crocetti is co-author of more than 20 publications in international journals and international conferences, and he is also co-inventor of 3 patents (of which one national patent and two international patents).
