03/2000:         PhD degree in Veterinary Neuroanatomy, University of Torino, Italy.

“Neuropeptide Y distribution and autoradiografic localization of its receptor in the carp brain (Cyprinus carpio L., 1758; Cyprinidae, Teleostei.)”. The work was mostly done at the University of Pisa in collaboration with Prof. Bruno Cozzi (University of Padova) who co-supervised the thesis.

02/1994          Doctor in Biological Sciences degree, University of Pisa, Italy.
