Personal Information
Lorenzo Pollini received the “laurea” degree (cum laude) in Computer Engineering from University of Pisa in 1997 and the Ph.D. in Robotics and Industrial Automation at the Department of Electrical Systems and Automation, University of Pisa in 2000. He is currently a Professor of Automatic Control at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’informazione. He is currently the coordinator of the Master Degree in Robotics and Automation.

I ricevimenti per l’AA 25/26 primo semestre si svolgeranno secondo le seguenti modalità:
- tutti i martedi’ dal 15 settembre 2025 al 15 dicembre 2025 ore 14:00 – 16:00 ricevimento in presenza presso l’ufficio del docente (Polo A – DII – stanza 5.4/ 4.0011 – accesso da portineria del DII) e senza prenotazione (non è possibile prenotarsi)
- coloro che non possono partecipare in presenza potranno partecipare via MS Teams chiamando direttamente il docente nella stesso giorno e fascia oraria
Research Interests
His main research interests include: guidance navigation and control of unmanned vehicles, vision-based guidance and navigation, haptic support for (remotely) piloted vehicles, fuzzy, neural and non-linear adaptive control, variable structure control, cooperative control and swarming, and real time dynamic systems simulation with specific application to aircraft and underwater systems.
