Hi there!

I’m Elisa Guazzelli, a researcher in the Functional polymers Lab – FUNpolymer lab 😉 – at the University of Pisa. My work revolves around designing and synthesizing innovative polymeric materials—think self-assembling micelles for drug delivery, eco-friendly marine coatings, ion-exchange membranes for green hydrogen production and energy storage, and even transparent wood composites for sustainable building. I love uncovering how polymers behave at the micro- and nano-scale and then turning those discoveries into practical solutions that benefit the environment, energy sector, and healthcare. Feel free to explore my page for more on my research, publications, and collaborations!
