My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics, nonlinear dynamics, and quantitative economic modelling, with a particular focus on the role of heterogeneous agents, bounded rationality, and expectation formation in shaping macroeconomic and financial outcomes.

My work develops dynamic models to investigate how individual behaviour, learning mechanisms, and market interactions generate aggregate phenomena such as financial instability, business cycle fluctuations, environmental degradation, and inflationary dynamics. A central objective is to understand how nonlinear interactions and heterogeneous expectations influence the effectiveness of monetary, fiscal, and environmental policies.

Methodologically, my research combines dynamic systems theory, heterogeneous agent models, overlapping generations (OLG) models, and dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models with tools from nonlinear analysis, computational economics, and numerical simulations. Particular attention is devoted to the study of stability, bifurcations, multiple equilibria, and the emergence of complex dynamics in macroeconomic systems.

These methodological approaches are applied to several research areas, including:

  • Environmental macroeconomics, climate policy, and the green transition;
  • Heterogeneous expectations and learning in macroeconomic models;
  • Financial instability, systemic risk, and behavioural finance;
  • Evolutionary and agent-based approaches to macroeconomic dynamics;
  • Intergenerational inequality, social interactions, and endogenous growth.

Ultimately, my research aims to develop theoretically grounded and policy-relevant quantitative models that improve our understanding of complex economic systems and provide rigorous analytical tools for the design and evaluation of economic policy.
