From 2006, tenured researcher at the University of Pisa, Department of Economics and Management. From 1996 to 2006, researcher at the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT). From 2020 to 2023 statistical officer at the Statistical Office of the European Union (EUROSTAT), National Accounts Production Unit, Luxembourg.

My research interests are in the field of official statistics, particularly in macroeconomic statistics (national accounts), local welfare, the labor market and innovativeness of business economic sectors. I aim to develop alternative estimation methods and propose new indicators to enhance the understanding of these areas of study.

In my professional experience, I have worked with official statistics as a researcher, lecturer, and producer. This combination of roles has provided me with practical insights that inform my teaching and a thoughtful approach to data in research.
