Research interests:
Our research interest focuses on the molecular mechanisms regulating precursor and stem cells proliferation and differentiation during cerebral cortex development.
We aim to identify the mechanisms of gene regulation that underlie the expansion and increased complexity of the cerebral cortex during development.
To study the molecular mechanisms of corticogenesis in normal and pathological conditions, we use a combined approach of genetics, classical embryology and state of the art techniques of molecular and cellular biology, transcriptomic analyses and bioinformatics.
