Together with Mirjam Schmalz (University of Zurich/independent researcher) I am organising a workshop on “Language Attitudes and World Englishes: Methods, Insights, and Challenges” which is going to take place at the 10th Biennial International Conference on the Linguistics of Contemporary English (BICLCE) in Alicante, Spain on 26-28 September 2024 (https://web.ua.es/es/biclce2024/call-for-papers.html).
I am going to Yaoundé, Cameroon, to do fieldwork in April-May 2024 as part of my Habilitation project “Children’s English in Cameroon: A Sociophonetic Perspective”. The research stay is funded by the Mobilitätsstipendien international für Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen (International Mobility Grant for Female Early-career Researchers), University of Regensburg.
