Curriculum

Teaching

Francesco Bucchi is responsible for the course “Automotive Design” for the MSc in Automotive Engineering of UniPI since 2019. From 2016 to 2019 he was a co-teacher of the same course. In 2018 and 2019 Francesco Bucchi was also co-teacher of the course “Multibody simulation of mechanical structure” at the Master Degree in Automotive Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Pisa.

Starting from 2013 Francesco Bucchi has been the supervisor of more than 50 Master Thesis in Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pisa, mainly dealing with analytical, numerical, multibody and FE simulation of mechanical systems, with a special focus on the automotive field.

He is currently the supervisor of 3PhD students: one dealing with the durability of structures subject to random loads, the second one dealing with passive actuators using Shape Memory Alloys for satellites and the third one dealing with digital twin of complex vehicles.
