The Network promotes the use of virtual worlds for education, training and research in all subjects (<a href=\"http:\/\/euroversity.unimarconi.it\/\">http:\/\/euroversity.unimarconi.it\/<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>2009 &#8211; 2010, <strong>Leader<\/strong> <strong>for Research and Development<\/strong> under the Avalon Learning Project (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.avalonlearning.eu\/\">www.avalonlearning.eu<\/a>), funded under Key Activity 3 (ICT) of the LLP of the EACEA (Project no. <strong>143643-LLP-1-2008)<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> The project explored the use of virtual worlds in language education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/avalon.humanities.manchester.ac.uk\/index4805.html?page_id=145\">http:\/\/avalon.humanities.manchester.ac.uk\/index4805.html?page_id=145<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h2><em>Research <\/em><\/h2>\n<p>The bulk of my most recent research is in the field of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) within CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning). My areas of interest also include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Language Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Language Teaching and Didactics<\/li>\n<li>Learner Advising<\/li>\n<li>Language Teacher Identity<\/li>\n<li>Online Learning and Teaching<\/li>\n<li>The educational use of virtual worlds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Research methodology<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am a qualitative researcher and am rooted in Reflexive methodology.
