Prof. Neri spent most of his scientific \/ research carrier in the field of imaging informatics, gastrointestinal imaging and head and neck imaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most recent activities have been focused on the development and validation of imaging biomarkers, imaging biobanks and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Neri is coordinator of the Tuscany project NAVIGATOR (An Imaging Biobank to Precisely Prevent and Predict cancer, and facilitate the Participation of oncologic patients to Diagnosis and Treatment<\/em>), that aims to set up an open\u00a0imaging biobank\u00a0<\/strong>with a\u00a0Virtual Research Environment\u00a0<\/em>(VRE)\u00a0<\/strong>available to extract gold-standard\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0novel imaging biomarkers<\/strong>; to create and test\u00a0digital patient models<\/strong>\u00a0mining cancer phenotypes, stratified risks and responsivity to therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prof. Neri leads the Imaging Laboratory (http:\/\/imaginglab.med.unipi.it\/) of the Department of Translational Research, a multidisciplinary laboratory dedicated to frontier research in the study of biomedical images.
