cum laude<\/em>) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa in 2007, under the supervision of Prof. Filippo Minutolo, with an experimental thesis entitled “Modulators of glucose metabolism as new anticancer agents”.<\/p>\nIn 2011 he received the PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the doctoral school in “Science of Drug and Bioactive Substances” discussing a thesis entitled “New agents against hypoxic tumours counteracting invasiveness and metabolism”. During her PhD, she spent a research period in the group of Prof. Paul J. Hergenrother at the Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, USA).<\/p>\n
From April 2011 to October 2016 she was a post-doctoral fellow, working on the design, synthesis and biochemical evaluation of anticancer agents. In particular, she took part in the international project NIH 1R01GM098453-01A1 “Design, synthesis, and evaluation of lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors” in collaboration with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, USA) and Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts, USA).<\/p>\n
In the years 2014-2015 she attended the Master of “Pharmaceutical management: marketing, market access, regulatory and sales” (ISTUM).<\/p>\n
In the period November 2016 – October 2019 she was a Senior Fixed-Term Research Fellow (Under the Italian Law 240\/2010 article 24, subparagraph 3, point b) at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa, SSD CHIM\/08 Medicinal Chemistry.<\/p>\n
In March 2017 she obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor (sector 03\/D1, SSD CHIM\/08).<\/p>\n
Since November 2019 she is Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa, SSD CHIM\/08 Medicinal Chemistry.<\/p>\n
Since July 2017 she is Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Sbarro Health Research Organization (SHRO), at Temple University in Philadelphia (USA).<\/p>\n
In November 2020 she received the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Full Professor (sector 03\/D1, SSD CHIM\/08).<\/p>\n
Carlotta Granchi published more than 90 papers in international journals, 10 patents and more than 30 contributions to national and international conferences.<\/p>\n
She is a reviewer for many international journals.<\/p>\n
She is a member of the scientific committee of BioFuture Medicine srl Startup.<\/p>\n
She is the research representative of the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa.<\/p>\n
She is member of the PhD school \u201cScience of Drug and Bioactive Substances\u201d, Department of Pharmacy, University of Pisa.<\/p>\n
